On the Action’s Attachments tab, you can include additional files with the action. There are a number of types of file that can be attached including:

  • Images & Pictures

  • Word and PDF documents

  • Spreadsheet files

To attach a file to your action, first click on the Add New Attachment button.

Type in an Attachment Name. Try to make this recognisable so that actionees will know what it is.

Now choose an attachment Category. You can choose from one of the following options:

  • Photograph

  • Map

  • Procedure

  • Risk Assessment

  • Training Record

  • Witness Statement

  • Investigation Report

  • Incident Report

Next, click the Browse button and locate the attachment file on your computer. Once found, click it to select it, then click Open. The Browse button will now change to a Start Upload button. Click this to upload your chosen attachment file.

Please Note: There is a 20MB file size limit for attachment files. Files above 20MB cannot be uploaded.

Lastly, click the Add button to add the uploaded attachment file to your action.

Once an attachment has been added to your action, you can Edit, Delete or Download Attachment if required by clicking on the relevant icon on the left of the Attachment Title.

Our Advice: At this point, the action creation process is complete. The final action tab is the Completion tab, and is used to record when the action has been completed.

Click the Next button to continue to the Completion step of the Action process.
