Moving a User to a Different Location

The system will allow you to create a new location tag to give them access to other areas of your company structure. But if you want to completely change a user's location to another one, heres how.

Start by clicking the Settings option in the main menu on the left hand side of the screen.

(Please Note: If you do not see the Settings option, it means you do not have permission to reallocate users.)

Next, click on Users and Locations, and then click on Location/User Management.

Next, click the Actions button to the left of the user’s name, and click the Edit User option. 

On the User Details screen, choose a new location for the user by either clicking on the location tree icon and selecting it, or by using the location drop-down box directly in the Default Location section. See below:

Now click the Save button to update your changes.

The user has now been moved from their original location to the new location you have specified.

Our Advice: When changing a user's location, you can also change the COSHH Role of the user to change the user's system permissions.
