We’ve made improvements to the Risk Assessment Wizard and published files to make your risk assessments clearer and easier to read.

✨ What’s new

To improve readability, we’ve updated how controls are displayed in Section 4 and Section 5 of your COSHH and Task Risk Assessments:

  • Controls with formatting (e.g. bold, underline, etc.) or more than 150 characters will now automatically take up the full width of the page.

  • Full-width controls will automatically move to the top of the list for better visibility.

  • These changes apply in both the RA Wizard and the published (PDF) versions.

πŸ“˜ Where this applies

  • Controls under each hazard

  • General controls

  • Emergency controls

⚠️ Note: These formatting improvements only apply if your company has the Modern Risk Assessment PDF design enabled.

πŸ’‘ Why this matters

This update ensures your risk assessments look more professional, well-organized, and easy to read β€” even when controls include detailed or formatted text.
