The second board on the Home page dashboard is entitled Substances. This displays the number of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) currently in the substance inventory of your default location.

The quickest way to navigate to a list of available substances, or SDS files, is to simply click the Green Substances legend entry below the coloured bar chart. This will take you to the substances area of the system, known as My Substance Inventory.

Our Advice: If you prefer, you can also click the Substances option in the main menu down the left-hand side of your screen.

When the substances area of the system has loaded, you will see the substance table, showing a list of available substances. The table consists of the following substance data:

  • Substance Name – The name of the substance.

  • Product Code – The substance’s product code.

  • Internal Code – Your company’s internal code chosen for this substance (if applicable).

  • Manufacturer – The manufacturer of the substance.

  • Revision Date – The release date of the latest SDS version.

  • Regulation – The regulation of the SDS, i.e. GHS, CHIP, etc.

  • Language – The language that the SDS has been written in.

  • CA# – The number of assessments currently using the substance.
