Following the assessment checklist in the final step of the assessment wizard, you will see the View Draft Assessment and the Publish Assessment options.
To view a draft of your assessment, click the View Draft button.
You will see the Publishing Draft notice while your draft assessment is created. You will then be able to choose from the following options:
Receive copy by email? – If switched on, the system will email you a copy of your draft assessment
Send draft to someone else? – If switched on, you will be able to add the name and email address of someone else who will also receive a copy by email
Send with SDS - This option will provide a link in the email to a zip file containing the SDS files of all substances in the assessment.
Please Note: The Send with SDS option will only become available if one or both of the options above it are switched on!
If you have switched on any of the above settings, you can click the View and Send Assessment button to view your draft assessment and send out the emails accordingly. If you haven't switched any of the send settings on, you can simply click the View your Risk Assessment Document button to view your assessment.
Our Advice: When draft assessments are downloaded to your computer, if you are using Internet Explorer, you should see a pop-up asking you to Open, Save or Cancel, allowing you to choose your required operation. If you are using Google Chrome, the file should automatically download directly to your computer or open directly in your internet browser.
When you have loaded your draft assessment, you will see that each page of the draft has been watermarked with the words DRAFT ASSESSMENT – (NOT FOR USE). This will ensure a draft assessment is not mistaken for a final, published assessment.
