The General Controls section is OPTIONAL, and will allow you to add additional Controls and Emergency Controls that haven’t yet been included in your assessment.

For example, you may wish to add a mandatory Orange High-Visibility Jacket control for site visitors. This type of PPE may not be included as a PPE control measure under any of your assessment hazards. Therefore, they can be added in the General Controls section if they are required.

To add a control, click the Add Control button and locate the control icon(s) you wish to add.

Click on the control icons to select/unselect them, then click the Save button to add them to your assessment.

Our Advice: Remember, you can use the search box to help locate those controls you need.

To add emergency controls, click on the Add Emergency Controls, and then click them to select them. Finally click the Save button to add them to your assessment.

Please Note: If no controls have been added in this step, the General Controls section will not appear on the published assessment.
