When to request a template instead of building one

How to decide between building a template yourself and asking Sevron to build it.

Written by Caim Hermoso

Who this is for: All users. No permission is required to raise a request.

You have three ways to get a template you do not already have.

Option

Best when

Add from the global library

Something close enough already exists. Fastest by far

Build it in the Template Builder

You know the standard well, the audit is specific to how you work, or you need it today

Request it from Sevron

The standard is well defined but you do not want to transcribe it, or nobody in the team has the time or the expertise

Requesting is the right call for long, clause-heavy standards. Transcribing a full ISO standard into clauses is a day’s work and easy to get subtly wrong; our team does this regularly.

Building it yourself is the right call for anything specific to your own procedures, your own sites or your own contract requirements — we cannot build what we cannot see.
