Deleting a scheduled audit and reclaiming the allowance

How to remove an audit that is not going ahead.

Written by Caim Hermoso

Who this is for: Needs Cancel Scheduled Audits.

Only audits that are still Scheduled — never started — should be deleted.

  1. Open Audits → Audit Records.

  2. Find the scheduled audit.

  3. Open the ⋮ menu and choose Delete Audit.

  4. Confirm at the prompt. It warns that the audit will be permanently deleted and that this cannot be undone.

The record is removed and the audit is returned to your allowance.

Once an audit has been started, archive it instead. A started audit is a record of work done; it stays counted against your allowance.

If you want to move an audit rather than cancel it, use Edit Audit and change the date. Deleting and recreating uses a second audit from your allowance.

If this doesn’t work

  • No Delete Audit option — you do not have Cancel Scheduled Audits.

  • Your allowance did not go back up — see 11.2.
