Who this is for: The assigned auditor.
Evidence can be captured in three places, and it is worth being clear about the difference:
Where | What it belongs to | Use for |
Evidence / Notes on a clause row | The clause | What you checked and what you found, whether or not there is a finding |
Objective Evidence on a finding | The finding | The specific factual basis for that finding |
Linked Documents in the Linked Documents step | The whole audit | Supporting files for the audit overall |
To attach a photograph to a finding: open the finding, use the photo upload control, and either take a photograph or select a file.
Whether evidence and photographs are optional or mandatory depends on the template’s evidence configuration — and can vary clause by clause. Where they are required, the finding cannot be completed without them, and the audit cannot be published.
Write objective evidence as fact, not conclusion. See 0.5 for what good evidence looks like.
