The Review & Publish checklist

The completeness check that gates publication.

Written by Caim Hermoso

Who this is for: The assigned auditor.

The Review & Publish step opens with an Audit Checklist: one card for each step of the audit, each with a green tick when it is complete or a red warning when it is not.

Checklist item

Blocks publishing?

Audit Details — every required field completed

Yes

Checklist — every required response and evidence recorded

Yes

Findings — every finding complete, including required evidence

Yes

Audit Summary — has content, where the template includes it

Yes

Linked Documents

No — advisory only

Under the heading “Complete the sections below before this audit can be published”, each incomplete section gets its own red card saying exactly what is missing, with a link straight to it — for example Checklist — Risk Rating, C / NC, Score missing on 7 clause(s) · Go to Checklist →.

If the template makes Objectives, Boundaries or Exclusions required, the Audit Details card names the empty one — for example Required fields with no value yet: Objectives. — see Recording objectives, boundaries and exclusions for an audit. The Audit Plan, Limitations and Auditee Response fields are always optional and never block publishing.

Confirm and Continue only becomes active when every blocking item is complete. An open issue (Blocked) also stops publication — see 11.5.

Audit charter: if your administrator has turned on the No active charter check and no charter is in force for the audit’s location, this step shows a message. With Warn it is amber — “No audit charter is in force for this location. You can still publish; the audit’s history will record it.” With Block it is red — “…so this audit cannot be published yet. An Audit Administrator needs to add or activate one in Audit Settings › Audit Charter.” See Setting up your audit charter [LINK].

Findings reminder: an audit with no findings shows an amber Findings card — “No findings have been raised. That is fine for a clean audit - this is a reminder, not a blocker.” You can still publish.

Previous findings: if you loaded previous findings and any of them has no outcome, you see a soft warning. It doesn't block publishing — see Previous findings in the published report [LINK].

Report sign-off: the Report sign-off list is set on this step — see Adding a report sign-off list [LINK].
