Archiving an audit

Retiring an audit record.

Written by Caim Hermoso

Who this is for: Needs Archive Audits.

  1. Open Audits > Audit Records.

  2. ⋮ > Archive Audit.

The audit moves to archived state and is hidden unless Show Archived is on.

Archiving is available for any audit that has been started — In Progress, Blocked, For Review or Completed. It is the only way to remove a started audit from your working view, because started audits cannot be deleted.

What archiving does not do:

  • It does not free up your audit allowance.

  • It does not hide the audit’s findings — those remain visible and reportable in Audit Findings.

  • It does not delete anything.
