Who this is for: Audit Administrators.
Go to Settings → System Settings → Audit Settings → Notifications. Each event can be switched on or off for your organisation. Select Save when you are done.
Event | Who is emailed |
Audit assigned to auditor | The auditor, when an audit is scheduled and assigned to them |
Auditees told about a scheduled audit | The auditees, by email and an Audit Notice under the bell, when an audit is scheduled with them as auditees, or when they are added to a scheduled audit that has not started. Off by default — see Telling auditees about an audit and recording the opening meeting [LINK] |
Finding raised on assigned audit | The audit owner, when a new finding is logged on one of their audits |
Corrective action assigned | The corrective action owner, when an action is created and assigned to them |
Audit report published | The audit owner, when an audit is completed and its report published |
Corrective action closed | The audit owner, when a corrective action linked to their audit closes |
Technical review requested | The named technical reviewer, when an audit is sent to them for review |
Technical review rejected | The auditors, with the reason given, when an audit is returned from technical review |
Finding ready for closure | Holders of Verify & Close Findings, when a finding reaches For Closure and is waiting on them |
Finding verified and closed | The audit owner, when a finding is verified and closed |
Always sent: report sign-off requests are always sent, even when Audit report published is switched off — see Adding a report sign-off list [LINK].
Auditee notices: nobody is told again when an audit is edited without changing its auditees, and no notice is sent for ad hoc audits, for audits already under way, or when an audit is published.
Certificate expiry: reminders go 30 days before a certificate expires, to the standard's owner and everyone with Manage Audit Settings — see Adding certificates, external reports and documents to a standard [LINK].
Think before switching one off. The technical review and closure events are how reviewers and verifiers find out there is work waiting for them. With them off, audits and findings can sit unnoticed at For Review and For Closure.
