Moving a planned audit date

Bring a planned audit forward or push it back, with a record of why.

Written by Caim Hermoso

Who this is for: Users who can schedule audits. [CHECK: confirm permission — Move date is shown to Audit Administrators]

Projected dates in the Audit Plan come from each requirement's frequency. You can move a projected date when the timing doesn't suit, and the plan keeps a record of the change.

Moving a date

  1. Open the Audit Plan and find the item.

  2. Select Move date.

  3. In Move planned audit, choose the New date.

  4. Optionally enter a Reason. It is worth adding one so others know why.

  5. Select Save.

The item moves to its new month and shows Moved from and the original date, followed by your reason.

Note: A moved date is kept even when the plan recalculates. Moving a date does not require the plan to be re-approved.

Putting a date back

Select Reset date on the item to return it to the projected date.

Seeing what has been moved

Select Show plan history at the foot of the plan. Each move and reset is listed, for example “moved from 16/10/2026 to 30/11/2026” or “put back to 16/10/2026”, with who did it, when, and the reason.

If this doesn't work

  • There's no Move date button — check you have permission to schedule audits.

  • You moved the wrong item — select Reset date to put it back.
