PI

The PI report tab has four report sections. These are explained below.

Positive Interventions Performance Summary

The first chart is the Behavioural Safety Inspections Performance Summary chart. This displays the Total number of PI reports made in the current year and a total Target count for all months for the current year. It also displays a percentage taking into account the Total and Target figures.

PI Safe & Unsafe

The second chart is a pie chart that displays the number of Safe PI records against the number of Unsafe records.

By clicking the type of PI in the pie chart, a bar chart will appear showing the record counts by locations. You can click the chart bars to drill down into data for that location, or you can click the bar chart labels at the bottom to view the records associated with chart figures.

Our Advice - If you use the drill down functionality, you can use the Back button in the top right of the chart to return back to the previous level.

Persons Involved

The third chart is a pie chart that displays the number of Employees involved against the number of Contractors.

By clicking a group in the pie chart, a bar chart will appear showing that record's counts by PI Safe and PI Unsafe. You can click the chart bars to drill down into location data for that PI type.

PI Business Unit

The PI Business Unit chart again shows Safe and Unsafe outcomes, but this time it shows only information against the locations set to be Business Units in your company structure. The bar chart shows the totals side by side for each business unit.

Our Advice - If you want to hide either the Safe or Unsafe bar columns in the chart, simply click the relevant entry in the key underneath. See below:

PI Safety Stats

The last chart in the PI charts is the PI Safety Stats. This displays a bar chart showing the PI records of each Safety Area Category. These include:

  • Personal Protective Equipment

  • Tolls & Equipment

  • Housekeeping

  • Behaviour

  • Procedural

  • Training

As normal, you can click the chart bars to drill down into data for the different types of protective equipment. Drilling down again will display records by location.

Monthly Performance

The Monthly Performance report tab has two report chart covering stating figures for each month of the current year. The PI Monthly Performance against Target chart displays data relating to the record counts of ALL PI records, whereas the PI Completed Monthly Performance against Target chart displays data relating to PI records that have been completed.

To view a values of a particular month, simply hover your mouse cursor above that month on the chart. See image below for an example of this.

Our Advice - If you would like to see a close up of a particular date range, you can click and drag between those months and the chart will focus on that range. For example, if you would like to see Jan to Jun, click and drag whilst holding your mouse button down from Jan and highlight the months up to Jun:

Lastly, release your mouse button. The chart will now 'zoom' into those selected months. See below:

Causes

The Causes report tab will display bar charts showing data for Immediate Causes and Root Causes.

You can click the bars that appear on the bar chart to drill down into that particular cause.

Business Unit Performance Stats

The Business Unit Performance Stats report tab will display a PI performance dial chart for each Business unit in your company within the search parameters you use.

Our Advice - The main location of your system is also a Business Unit, but will not have a dial of its own here. This is because that dial will appear in the first section of the PI tab outlined at the beginning of this article.
