The Injured Person(s) information tab appears on the Incident/Accident record type.

It is used to record the information of all injured individuals. It could be one person, or many.

To add a new injured person, begin by clicking the Add New Injured Person button.

Add New Injured Person

The Add New Injured Person screen has three information tabs to compete. These are:

  • Injured Person Details

  • Injury Details

  • Treatment Details

Injured Person Details Tab

The first tab of an injured person entry is Injured Person Details. This is where we record all information relating to the individual injured.

The date that is added here has been outlined below:

  • First Name - The first name of the injured person

  • Last Name - The last name of the injured person

  • Gender - The injured person's gender

  • Date Of Birth - The DOB of the injured person

  • NI Number - The injured person's National Insurance Number (NINO)

  • Employment Status - The injured person's status of employment

  • Address 1, Address 2, Address 3, Town/City, County, Post Code - The address of the injured person

  • Job Title - The injured person's job title

  • Email - The email address of the injured person

  • Phone - The injured person's phone number

Once done, click the Save and Next button to move to the Injury Details tab.

Please Note: Certain information is required in order to continue to the next tab in the record. If you try clicking the Save and Next button and some data is missing on the current tab, you will be prompted and all data fields that require information before moving on will be highlighted in red:

Injury Details Tab

The Injury Details tab is used to record all injuries sustained by the injured person.

First, select a Injury Location from the drop down list, and then choose the Nature of Injury from the drop down list. Once selected, click the Add Injury button:

The injury you specified will now be added to the list of injuries sustained by the injured person.

Simply repeat the above to continue adding additional injuries as required.

Our Advice - You can Edit or Delete an injured person's injury by clicking the relative icon. See below:

When you are done adding all injuries, click the Next button to move to the last tab.

Treatment Details Tab

Here we can add any treatment details the injured person may have had. First, add in the details outlined below:

  • Treatment Details - Describe how the injury was treated

  • Treated By - Name of the individual who provided the treatment

  • Treatment Date - The date of the treatment

  • Treatment Time - The time treatment was applied

Once you have added the information above, we need to consider the final set of questions. These are:

  • Did the individual become unconscious? - If this question is answered Yes, an additional question will appear. Answer the new 'Did the individual need to be resuscitated?' question shown below also:

  • Was a hospital visit required? - If this question is answered Yes, you can add the details of the hospital in the Hospital Details section that appears. See the screenshot below for more information:

  • Did the individual return to work? - If you answer Yes to this question, an additional option will appear allowing you to specify the Return To Work Date. Simply click the blank date field and choose a date from the on screen calendar.

Once all has been added, you can click the Next button to complete adding the injured person to the record. Once added, it will look like this.
