If you find there are control elements associated with a hazard which you feel are not needed on your assessment, you can remove them by following these steps:

1: Ensure you're looking at the right section; Section 4: Task Hazards & Controls, and then click Expand Details on the hazard you wish to remove PPE symbols from.

Please note: To perform these same actions in Section 5: General Controls, skip this first step:

2: Now, click the red X on the top left of the symbols you wish to remove:

3: Once you have removed the PPE symbols, click Save:

4: Now, if you are just creating this assessment, you should continue to work through the Assessment Wizard. 

However, if you are editing a previously created assessment then you can click to view Section 9: Review & Publish, check over the details of your assessment and click Confirm and Continue:

5: And, finally, click Publish to republish your assessment:
