Controls In Place

You can add a number of controls that may help to prevent a hazard from occuring. These controls include Prohibition controls, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) controls and Mandatory controls. Here are a few examples:

To add a control to the current hazard, click the Add Control button.

You can search through the many control symbols in the same way when searching for hazard icons, clicking the control icons to select/unselect them, and then clicking the Save button to add the selected control icons to your hazard.

All controls have a text area next to them. This will initially contain the standard information relating to that control icon. This can be modified and changed to display the information you need it to.

Emergency Controls In Place

Here you can add emergency controls to a hazard. These controls would reflect what to do in an emergency if a particular hazard was to take place. Here are some examples:

For example, if we are assessing a Flammable hazard, it might be a great idea to add a Fire Extinguisher as an emergency control.

To remove any of the controls, simply click the red cross in the top corner of the icon picture.

The next step is to Assess The Hazards.
