The My Substance Inventory area is where you will see a list of substances that are currently allocated to your location. The table displays information relating to each substance, including substance name, product code and revision date.

You can filter the results of this table using the techniques described in the Table Column Filtering and Advanced Assessment Table Filtering articles.

To view a list of substances being used at a specific location, click the Location Tree button (or drop down menu) and select a location to view its own substance inventory.

Each substance in the substances table has an Actions button. Clicking a substance’s Actions button will display the following options:

  • View Substance Details – Displays all details of the selected substance, including Transport Information, Phrases/Statements, SDS Revisions and Usage

  • Download SDS – Downloads the SDS file for the selected substance

  • Create Assessment – Begin creating a new assessment using the selected substance

  • View Location Usage – Displays a list of other locations that are also using the selected substance.

  • Delete – Removes a substance from the inventory list. Using this option will show a list of assessments currently using the substance (if any), and you will be advised that removing the substance from the inventory will also remove it from the assessments using it. Once this prompt has been confirmed, the selected substance will be removed.

To begin a new assessment using a substance, click the substance’s Actions button, then click on the Create Assessment option.

This technique will skip the substance Search step of the Assessment Wizard and take you directly to the substance's Usage step.

Please Note: Users with Administrator account permissions cannot edit any substance information shown in View Substance Details area. This information will be displayed as Read Only. To be able to modify this information, you would need to be given the permission to do so by your company’s system manager.
