To add a new user, first click the Settings option in the main menu on the left hand side of the screen.

(Please Note: If you do not see the Settings option, it means you do not have permission to add new users. You can contact the main Sevron system account Super User in your business for assistance.)

Next, click on Users and Locations, and then click on Location/User Management.

From here, click on the Add User button.

The User Details window will appear and looks like this:

Type in the relevant user details including First Name, Last Name, Email Address and Phone number.

Please Note: You must use a unique email address when creating a new user account. The system will inform you if an email address has already been used before. If an email address has already been used, and the user account it belongs to has been archived, one way around this issue is to unarchive that user account instead, and set up a new password for it. Archiving and unarchiving users is explained in more detail in the Archiving/Unarchiving a User article.

Next, set a password for the new user. Type in the user’s Password, and repeat it again in the Confirm Password text box.

Now choose a Default Location for the new user. This will be the location that the user logs into each time the user logs in. To choose a location, you can either click on the location tree icon and select it, or you can use the location dropdown box directly.

The next step is to assign a Role type to the user. The role type chosen here will set the system permissions for the user. Click on a role type below to see a quick overview of its system permissions:

Lastly, if one of your company’s Super User’s has set up the Escalation Settings, you will be able to assign an Escalation Group to this user. This is optional, and won’t be used in most cases.

When all new user details have been added, click on the Save button.

The new user will receive a new user email containing instructions on what to do next.

Our Advice: The COSHH365 system uses data encryption. Because of this, it is not possible to send new user’s their password directly. You can verbally give them their password. They can also use the password reset link in the new user email to set their own system password.
