When creating COSHH assessments, users can select a substance from the Sevron SDS Library. This does mean that any substance/SDS can be chosen and added to an assessment. You can stop this, and only allow users to choose substances/SDS from a predefined substance list. This is called the Approved Substance List.
To get to the Substance Settings area, start by clicking the Settings option in the main menu on the left hand side of the screen.
Next, click the Substance Settings option:
To enable the approved substance list feature, click on the Enable Approved List switch to turn it on. When you have finished changing this setting, click the Save button.
Once the approved substance list feature is switched on, users can access it via the Approved Substance List option that appears in the Substances menu at the top of the screen.
