Who this is for: Anyone using the Template Builder.
"Publish Template does nothing." The template needs a name. Publish validates the Template Name before anything else — check ① Template Details.
"A warning appeared on my Audit Summary settings." You have switched on Include Audit Summary while the Score column in ③ Checklist Columns is off. The warning reads: "The Audit Summary shows scored outcomes, but this checklist has no Score column. Turn on Score in Checklist Columns, or the summary will carry no scores." Switch on Score and it clears. You can publish with the warning showing — the summary will simply carry no scores.
"I switched a field on, but my audit doesn't show it." New settings — such as Objectives, Audit Plan or Limitations — only reach audits started after you publish the template. Publish it, then start a new audit. If the builder says 1 audit is in progress on this template, you can't change the template until that audit is finished; duplicate the template instead if you need the change sooner.
"My text was cut off." Titles are limited to 150 characters and body text to 1,000. Shorten, or move detail into the clause text rather than the description.
"I can't find where to add clauses." The questionnaire is built in the left preview panel, not the right-hand configuration panels. Expand Questionnaire there.
"There is no Save Draft." You are editing a template that is already published, on the Edit Audit Template screen, which offers Save Changes and Publish Template instead. Use Save Changes to keep your edits, or Publish Template to make them live. See 3.3.
"I lost my changes." Exit discards unsaved work and there is no autosave. Save Draft regularly while building something new.
"I can't archive this template." An audit using it is In Progress. The warning lists which records. Publish or complete those audits first.
"I can't see the Template Builder at all." You need the Manage My Audit Templates permission. Audit Manager and Audit Administrator have it by default; Auditor and Audit Viewer do not.
"My template is published but I still can't schedule from it." See 2.11 — most likely a location or permission issue rather than the template itself.
