Previous findings in the published report

How your previous findings review appears in the report, and what Review & Publish checks.

Written by Caim Hermoso

Who this is for: Auditors.

The review you record on the Previous Findings step can be included in the published report, so readers see how earlier findings stand.

The check on Review & Publish

On Review & Publish, any finding that was loaded but has no outcome gives a soft warning ending “…have no outcome recorded. This is a reminder, not a blocker.” It doesn’t stop you publishing.

Including the review in the report

  1. On Review & Publish, find Report Inclusions.

  2. Turn Include Previous Findings Review on or off. It’s on by default when previous findings were loaded.

When it's on, the report has a section listing each finding, its outcome, whether it was carried into scope, and your note.

Note: The report shows each prior finding as it was when you reviewed it, even if the original is edited later.

If this doesn't work

  • You see a warning about previous findings — one or more loaded findings has no outcome. Add outcomes, or publish anyway.

  • The section isn't in the report — Include Previous Findings Review was off when you published.
