When creating new assessments, you must input a Review Date.
When that date comes around, it is time to review your assessments to ensure that the process is unchanged, the hazard details on the assessment are still relevant, and that suitable controls are still in place. If significant changes have been made to the work process or the equipment or chemicals used during it, then you must revise the assessment.
Please note: Simply editing the assessment to alter the Review Date is not considered a suitable assessment review by the authorities. You must physically check over the process and any equipment involved in the work to ensure the details match those on the original assessment. You must also ensure that the people doing the work have reread and still understand the assessment.
To begin the review process in the Sevron system, locate the assessment(s) which require review by:
1: Clicking the Overdue assessments button (if the assessments in question are overdue for review) located under the Assessments bar graph on the Dashboard:
2: Clicking the Due in 30 days button (if the assessment review dates are within the next month) located under the Assessments bar graph on the Dashboard:
3: Or, by clicking through to the Assessments section of the system and filtering the results to Due in or Overdue:
Once you have carefully checked the assessment and the work process it refers to, you can make any necessary changes to the assessment in the Sevron system.
The Review Date should set itself, using the option you originally chose when creating the assessment:
For example: If you originally chose 6 months when creating the assessment, clicking Edit Assessment and allowing the assessment to open on your screen should have the Review Date automatically set itself to 6 months in the future from the date you review the assessment.
Please note: If the Review Date does not automatically change, then you can change it manually by clicking the small arrow to the right of the date.
If nothing significant has changed with the process or the equipment used during it, then you can republish your assessment without making any changes, other than the Review Date.
Remember: Simply editing the assessment to alter the Review Date is not considered a suitable assessment review by the authorities. You must physically check over the process and any equipment involved in the work to ensure the details match those on the original assessment. You must also ensure that the people doing the work have reread and still understand the assessment.
To republish the assessment, click Review & Publish and then Confirm and Continue:
Finally, click Publish.
Please be aware: Due to occasional improvements and updates, the system may differ slightly to that shown in this article.
