In this article, we will guide Super Users through the process of enabling Security Settings and Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) for enhanced account security within the Safety365 system. Please note that only Super Users have initial access to these settings.
Enabling Security Settings for User Roles:
By default, Super Users will have Security Settings enabled. However, for other users to have access to these settings, Super Users need to enable them individually for each user role.
Follow these steps to enable Security Settings for other user roles:
Log in to your Safety365 account with Super User credentials.
Navigate to User Roles and Permissions in the System Settings area.
Select the desired user role and enable Security Settings by toggling the switch to the "on" position.
Save the changes, and the selected user role will have access to Security Settings.
Enabling MFA for Users:
By default, MFA settings are turned off for all users, even when Security Settings are enabled. Each user needs to enable MFA individually by following these steps:
Log in to your Safety365 account.
Go to System Settings and locate the Security Settings section.
Enable MFA by switching on either TOTP or Email authentication factors.
Save the changes to enable MFA for your account.
Forced MFA:
Super Users have the authority to enforce MFA for specific users to ensure stronger security measures. Follow these steps to force users to enable MFA:
Log in to your Safety365 account as a Super User.
Access the System Settings and navigate to the Security Settings section.
Enable the "Force MFA" toggle.
Once Force MFA is enabled, all users will be required to enable two-factor authentication upon login.
Please note that users who are not Super Users will need to request their respective Super User to enable Security Settings before they can utilize MFA.
