Please Note: Archiving an existing record can only be done by users with the correct system permissions.

Occasionally, an existing record in the incident table my need to be removed and Archived. It could be that a record isn't needed anymore, or it could be that two individuals have reported the same incident, thus requiring the need to archive one of them.

To Archive an existing record, first click the Incidents option from the menu on the left hand side of the screen:

You will now see a table containing all existing incident records. Simply find the incident record that you want to archive. You can use the table filters to help:

Once you have located the record, click it's Actions button, and choose the Archive option.

You will then see an Archive Incident pop up. Just click on the Confirm button to confirm its removal:

Our Advice - All archived incident records will be stored in the archive. This means that nothing is ever deleted permanently. If an archived record is ever needed again, you can always unarchive it. Please see the article Unarchiving an incident record to see how.
