There are three main risk assessment types in the system. These are:
COSHH - A Task risk assessment that involves using a hazardous substance (Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health)
TASK - A Task risk assessment with no substance use
PUWER - An assessment of a piece of machinery
Please Note: Future development of the system will introduce additional assessment types including Manual Handling, Working at Height, Fire and DSEAR. These types may or may not be available to you. There are a number of ways to begin a new assessment. The fastest way is to click the Create New option at the top of the screen, then hover over the Assessments option, and then click the type of assessment you need.
Our Advice: The structure of a TASK assessment is practically the same as a COSHH assessment excluding the Substance Information section.
