What is the Approved Substance List?

At present, Sevron hosts over a quarter of a million safety data sheet files. That’s quite a lot of chemical safety information! Having access to a vast library of identical safety sheets can sometimes seem overwhelming, and using a substance that is extremely hazardous could be selected incorrectly and potentially go unnoticed. This is why we introduced the Approved Substance List.

The Approved Substance List is an option that can be turned on or left switched off by your system’s Super User.

If your system’s Approved Substance List has been switched on, you will only have to search through the list of your company’s pre-populated approved substances, offering you a more defined list of chemicals to choose from, making your life a lot easier when finding those SDS files you need.

If, at some point, a substance that you need seems to be missing from the approved list - if your account is assigned the Administrator role or above - you can make a substance request, or upload your own safety data sheet, and your Approved Substance List managers can then decide if it is okay to be added to the approved list.

Please note: Only User Accounts with permissions above the Viewer Role can see the Approved Substance List. If you cannot see the Approved Substance List, you do not have the correct permissions. If you believe this is in error, you must contact the person who set you up with your User Account, or your QHSE Manager to discuss with them.
