Adding findings from an uploaded report

Entering the findings from an external audit report by hand.

Written by Caim Hermoso

Who this is for: Needs Manage Findings.

Add Findings is step 3 of Upload Audit Report. It starts empty — "No findings added yet — click 'Add Finding' below" — and you type in each finding from the PDF you attached. Work with the report open beside you.

  1. Select + Add Finding. A finding card appears, with chips summarising it as you fill it in — for example Auto-generated · Major · NC.

  2. Complete the card. The fields are listed in the table below.

  3. Repeat + Add Finding for every finding in the report. Each one gets its own card, and you can edit any card until you save.

  4. Select Save All Findings.

Everything is saved together. Save All Findings writes every card at once; there are no per-finding checkboxes to select from. If you cancel instead, you are asked to confirm, because the findings you have typed will be lost.

Findings from an uploaded report do not need to be linked to a clause — there is no template and therefore no clause list. This is the one exception to the clause-linking rule.

Once saved, these findings behave exactly like findings from an internal audit: root cause analysis, corrective actions, verification and closure all work the same way.
