Using Audit365 on a phone or tablet, or without a reliable connection

Which devices to use for audits, and what to do on sites with poor signal.

Written by Caim Hermoso

Who this is for: Auditors who work on the shop floor or across several sites.

Use a desktop or laptop. The Audit Module is designed for desktop and laptop use, and we recommend using one to conduct audits, build templates and review findings. A phone or tablet browser may work for simple tasks, but the audit wizard and Template Builder are not designed for small screens.

Auditing where you can't use a computer

If you can't take a laptop round the site, or the signal is poor:

  1. Open the template preview and download the template as a PDF before you go.

  2. Conduct the audit on paper, noting evidence against each question, and take photos.

  3. Back at your desk, start the audit in Audit365 and enter your answers, evidence and findings. Attach the photos.

Working in stages. You don't need to finish in one sitting. Save the audit as a draft and continue it later, from the same or another computer.

If this doesn't work

  • Pages don't fit the screen — switch to a desktop or laptop, or zoom the browser out.

  • You lost work when the connection dropped — save the draft often, especially on sites with poor signal.
