Who this is for: Audit Administrators (Manage Audit Settings). Manage Audit Settings also controls audit requirements and editing the Standards & Regulations register.
Go to Settings → System Settings → Audit Settings. There are seven tabs:
Tab | Covers |
General Settings | Whether scheduled and ad hoc audits are allowed, whether references are generated automatically, and whether the conflict of interest declaration can be skipped |
Records & Findings | Root cause methods and whether analysis can be skipped, root cause categories, and the default finding fields for new templates |
Corrective Actions | Closure verification, and which finding types need it |
Notifications | Which audit events send an email, and the Audit Planning capacity setting (audits per auditor per month) — see Auditor Workload and planning capacity [LINK] |
Audit Charter | Your audit charters (organisation-wide and per site), how many locations are covered, and the No active charter setting (Off / Warn / Block). See Setting up your audit charter [LINK]. |
Auditor Register | Which standards are checked for competence, and the register of auditors |
Audit Header Logo | PNG or JPEG logos for the header of audit reports, and which one is the company default |
General Settings holds four switches, each with a line of explanatory text above it:
Enable Scheduled Audits — users with schedule permissions can schedule audits from a template.
Enable Autogenerate Reference — references for audits, findings and root cause analyses are generated automatically; when off, they are entered by hand. Audits already created keep the setting they were created with. See 10.8.
Enable Ad Hoc Audits — users with Conduct Audits can conduct audits with no prior schedule.
Allow Skipping the Conflict of Interest Declaration — auditors can skip the declaration before conducting an audit. A reason is required and is recorded in the audit history.
Not here: audit roles and permissions are in Settings → Users & Locations → Roles & Permissions → Audit Roles.
